Most of all, we are remembered by our actions.
What we think and what we say is important, but what we do is the ultimate influence we have in reality.
“Take responsibility. Step up and step in. Because at the end of the day, folks, we are our behaviors.”
– Gavin Newsom
You have the power to influence reality. Even if you deny it, you still do have it.
It’s way better to know and acknowledge it then to think it doesn’t matter.
You do matter.
You do have an influence on the world.
Acknowledge your influence and start to choose what you do with it.
You can take action and change the world.
Everything you do matters. Even the small things will influence in some way.
“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.”
– Edward Everett Hale
You have influence, use it wisely.
If you choose to do nothing, you choose to do something. And it’s nothing. You influence as you did nothing.
“Do not waste your time on Social Questions. What is the matter with the poor is Poverty; what is the matter with the rich is Uselessness.”
– George Bernard Shaw
You don’t need to be rich to matter in the life of others.
I would recommend this book.
We influence everything that we came across.
As we become aware, we become involve.
“I am a part of all that I have met.”
– Alfred Lord Tennyson
You can try to ignore the fact, but doing so you influence anyway.
When we face horror, we deny any involvement. We deny as if it would keep us outside of it. But the hard reality is that we became involved the moment we became aware.
You don’t have to do a lot. Just acknowledge and pray for a peaceful resolve is enough.
Doing ‘Good things’ brings good things in your life.
You are the master of your action. As so, you’re the master of what shall come to you.
“Doing Good is a simple and universal vision. A vision to which each and every one of us can connect and contribute to its realization. A vision based on the belief that by doing good deeds, positive thinking and affirmative choice of words, feelings and actions, we can enhance goodness in the world.”
– Shari Arison
If you influence the world, you influence your life.
It all start with your life. Be good with yourself.
“I’ve really come to realize you have to love yourself before you can expect someone else to.”
– Leah Remini
How can you love someone else if you can’t love yourself?
You are the master of your reality. The last pieces is under your power.
“Our minds influence the key activity of the brain, which then influences everything; perception, cognition, thoughts and feelings, personal relationships; they’re all a projection of you.”
– Deepak Chopra
This is why, your reality could be very different from anyone around you.
Stop expecting that everyone’s perceive as you perceive.
Our memories changes as time goes by. Without a physical tool to get them vivid, they’ll change as we focus on them or not.
When you return to a good memory on a regular basis, it will remain vivid and as close as you want to what it really was.
It’s the same with bad memories. If keep on coming back to them, they’ll stay vivid and close to reality.
You can change your memories. You can modify them bit by bit.
Have you ever noticed that what you remember of a moment that you shared with someone could be different than what that person remembered?
We progress and change as we go along with our lives.
“People change and forget to tell each other.”
– Lillian Hellman
Never expect to know how someone think.
Yes you can expect some reaction according to known pattern, but the result can differ with time.
“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
– George Bernard Shaw
It’s an illusion to think we don’t change.
Even in death we’re still changing.
Work with the changes and try to influence them to be good ones.
You have an influence even if you don’t want to.
Your existence is having an influence on everything around you.
From Wikipedia: “The Butterfly effect is the concept that small causes can have large effects.”
You can deny. Most people are doing this.
“Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.”
– William James
When you accept the fact that you do have an influence on everything around you, then you can start to choose how you direct that influence.
You’ll make mistake. We all do.
Keep doing your best.
