What is the power of your dream?
Do you have a dream so close to you that it hurts to not reach it?
A dream should be a force to take actions.
“Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.”
– Og Mandino
Failure is only a step onto reaching your dreams. Learn from your mistake and you will be closer to your dreams.
There is no short cut to reach your dream.
If your dream is big enough, you’ll find a way to keep going on. If not, you’ll find a reason to give up on it.
“I just never, ever want to give up. Most battles are won in the 11th hour, and most people give up. If you give up once, it’s quite hard. If you give up a second time, it’s a little bit easier. Give up a third time, it’s starting to become a habit.”
– Lewis Gordon Pugh
Big project are done with people that are involved.
You can’t be involved if you don’t believe in the project.
Doing more than the average is the only way to reach the big result.
“Big jobs usually go to the men who prove their ability to outgrow small ones.”
– Theodore Roosevelt
Big dream are built with people that outgrow the small ones.
Small dreams are steps onto the big ones.
When you do more than your best, you know you are on your way to reach your big dream.
“I am only an average man but, by George, I work harder at it than the average man.”
– Theodore Roosevelt
Are you living your life with passion?
“The essential conditions of everything you do must be choice, love, and passion.”
– Nadia Boulanger
What is ‘Passion’?
– An intense desire or enthusiasm for something. (Oxford Dictionaries)
Passion can be a drive when it’s in relation with a dream. As long as you take action using that drive, it can help you reach your dream.
First, you need a dream.
Do you have a dream?
If you don’t know where you’re going, how can you reach where you want to go?
If your dream doesn’t bring passion within you, then you should find a dream that is closer to your heart.
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
– Harriet Tubman
Ask and you shall receive.
You need to take action on what you want. Without the action, it’s only a wish. Wish can come true, but it’s always better to take action on it.
Keeping your wish alive is also important. The moment that you start to doubt it, you are working against yourself.
Everything is better when it’s simple.
“Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.”
– Albert Einstein
Here’s my simple asking technique:
- Dream (Go Big)
- Write it down (with a date)
- Do (Take action)
Don’t wait for anything, keep on doing and doing. Adjust as you go along. There’s always something to adjust. As you do, always keep your eyes on the Dream.
What road you take to get there doesn’t matter. There’s always many ways to get there.
Hang on, things will get better.
Nothing great is accomplish without effort, sacrifice and failure.
“Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.”
– William Feather
Adjust and modify, but keep hanging on to your dream.
The way doesn’t matter as long as you know where you are heading.
“When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.”
– Franklin D. Roosevelt
You can hang on.
Choose to stick to your dream.
When you get kicked down, get up and keep going on.
Taking action is doing what need to be done.
Fear is keeping us from taking action and go for our dream.
“Your wealth is hiding under the very thing you are afraid to do. It’s time to face your fears and take action. Expect Miracles.”
– Joe Vitale
Face your fear or give up on your dream.
Your dream will become if you take action. Nothing will happen if you stay stagnant.
“The best thing to do is stare it in the face and move on. We have to face our fears and plow through. I think taking chances takes a lot more courage than staying stagnant and doing what’s safe and comfortable.”
– Terri Clark
This is why some people live their dream and others don’t. They take ‘Actions’ when their fears tells them to stay stagnant.
The sheep syndrome should not your way.
You should take the responsibility for your life and take action on what you want to realize.
We want our dream to become true, but we don’t want to take action.
If we choose to stay idle, we choose to follow the dream of others.
Dreams collide. In the end, the ones that becomes true are the ones that didn’t gave up.
“Ideas are easy. It’s the execution of ideas that really separates the sheep from the goats.”
– Sue Grafton
Anyone can have great ideas. Only a few will take action on them.
Are you an action taker or a follower?
Don’t be a victim of your past.
You can’t change what happened. But when you hold on to the past, you keep yourself from healing. This could even block your present happiness.
“The past is past and I guess if you live in the past, you cease to live.”
– Craig McCaw
The past is all about memories. According to what has been remembered, the past is presented in a way.
“Nothing changes more constantly than the past; for the past that influences our lives does not consist of what actually happened, but of what men believe happened.”
– Gerald W. Johnson
Don’t let the past prevent you from reaching for your dream.
Don’t let someone else use their interpretation of your past to keep you from reaching for your dream. Don’t be a victim of your past.
Good memories should not prevent you from creating new ones.
Good memories should motivate you to create new ones.
Stay out of the way!
“People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.”
– George Bernard Shaw
Are you taking action on your dream?
Potato couch should stay out of the way of those who are taking action instead of waiting for someone else to do it for them.
“It is easy to sit up and take notice, What is difficult is getting up and taking action.”
– Honore de Balzac
Potato couch aren’t new. It has been around for quite some times.
How many hours do you spend in leisure?
If you take only half of that time to build your dream, wouldn’t it be great?
“You take on the responsibility for making your dream a reality.”
– Les Brown
Keep your eyes on the prize.
Never give up on your dream.
“If you really believe in what you’re doing, work hard, take nothing personally and if something blocks one route, find another. Never give up.”
– Laurie Notaro
If something block your route, find a way around.
Picture in your mind two dots on a piece of paper. At one dot, you wrote “me”, and on the other dot, you wrote “dream”. Draw a line between the two dots, it’s your road. The road between the two dots doesn’t matter. All that matter is that you get there.
