About Serge ‘Mage’ Cote Why do I write? I believe in the butterfly effect. As small my influence may be on the planet, it is still influence. I want to orient it for the better. I write my book with the idea of bringing something good into this world. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke I want my books to be a good place to be. A place that you visit often and feel good about it. I want my books to bring good energy so the readers will take action to make this world a better place. I want my books to guide those who don’t know why they feel so bad about their life. I want my books to be there after I’ll be gone. I want people to come back to them and use them in a positive way. “The greatest use of a life is to spend it on something that will outlast it.” – William James View all posts by mage1999

Words and ideas tend to have a life of their own. The butterfly effect sums it all up. Writing for me is like therapy for my mind, body and soul. It keeps me sane, grounded and focused. My words are like children. They are my bequest to the world. Words written or spoken are a reflection of the orator or author (pardon my rhyme). After all what is man? That Homo Sapien? That thinking man? If not but an amalgam of his thoughts and words made manifest in works & deeds and recorded in books, diaries and anecdotal eye witness accounts. So write on my brother yours is a divine calling.

Couldn’t vote for a quote – all three are great choices.

The butterfly effect is very much like words – they create things, waves, possibilities, all things are possible. Quote wise, I like Einstein’s “Imagination is more powerful than knowledge”. That’s the butterfly effect at its best!

What indeed did the butterfly call home before it became free to flap and fly, across state lines, across country lines with no green card. It’s home, a cocoon, unremarkable except for the gold ring at the top. That green wormy thing with all the legs dies and is reborn a king of butterflies, a Monarch. It thrills mankind as it darts about the patch of milkweed. A little touch with the bath towel, the wings are dry and astonished travelers cry out every time.

Those are great Quotes from great masters of old, but I a priceless writer and poet of now and the not to distance future and I like and love my own Quote of good-better-best:
“To Love and understand Love, Love must be uppermost on your mind,
innermost in your Heart,
