Title: “The Lord of the Ring trilogy”
I’ve always been a fan of heroic fantasy.
This trilogy is in my top 10.
Why would I choose a violent movie as up lifting?
Because of the positive subject around the violence. Yes, it’s a violent movie. But, the main subject is about doing the best you can. Going all the way, if needed be, to even give your life.
Friendship is also a powerful subject in the movies.
One of the section I like a lot in “The return of the king”, is when Faramir talk with Éowyn about the weather a few days after the battle of Minas Tirith.
- Eowyn: “The city has fallen silent.” “There is no warmth left in the sun.” “It grows so cold.”
- Faramir: “It’s just the damp of the first spring rain.” “I do not believe this darkness will endure.”
Just a little part of the movie that is giving us a good example of how you can change your point of view and change your reality.
