Each blogger build his or her style.
To me, the length of the post is not relevant. Because, my priority is the content. We can say a lot in less than 25 words.
Here’s my view of what is making a good post.
- Content: The priority should always be the content.
- Structure: The structure of the post is making it easy to read or not. One good advice: “If you want to know if your post is easy to read or not, read it aloud to yourself. If you can’t read it without bumping, then you should revise it.”
- True: The info in your post needs to be true for you. What does this means? It has to be from you. Never, ever, post a text from someone else. It has to come from you.
I think that a blogger should post a minimum of 3 post per week. But, its way better to publish one great post in a week than 7 bad ones.
Short post are great for people that don’t have a lot of time to spend reading.
Your post need to be interesting from the first line. If you don’t catch the reader on your first line, you will lose 90% of them.
We all talking about getting stuff.
But in reality, what we really want is to be happy. That’s all.
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony.”
– Mahatma Gandhi
Stop working for stuff!
Sit down and write what makes you happy. Then start to work in that direction so your life will not be built around stuff.
You do have an impact on reality.
“Remember upon the conduct of each depends the fate of all.”
– Alexander the Great
Your action influence the fate of all. Taking action or not, you influence. By not taking action, you choose your action.
“Laws control the lesser man… Right conduct controls the greater one.”
– Mark Twain
Violence is never a good option. Violence will bring violence. In the end, you’ll have to live with what you have done. Even if you did it for the greater good.
“Do unto others as you would have done to you.”
Respect the golden rule.
What you do to others will always come back to you. Sometimes in ways that you can’t associate.
If you keep on learning, you’ll never get old. Learning is the fountain of youth.
“Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.”
– Samuel Ullman
Enthusiasm in life is the way to keep up the need to learn more. When you loose that source of motivation, you loose the will to stay young.
“The secret of genius is to carry the spirit of the child into old age, which means never losing your enthusiasm.”
– Aldous Huxley
The geniuses are the ones who find ways to keep their enthusiasm. No one can do it for you; you have to get it on your own.
You have the power to choose what you want. Even if there’s pressure from a lot of outside source to push you in one direction or another, in the end you always have the last word. Choose wisely, because the one who’s going to live with it is you.
Imagination is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it will become.
“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”
– Albert Einstein
Reality is built on imagination. We can live in our imagination or in the one of someone else.
“Imagination creates reality.”
– Richard Wagner
Let your imagination build a better world. And maybe it will become.
If you want others to be good with you, be good with others first.
Don’t expect the good to come from where you put it.
Don’t expect that only good will come your way.
If you are doing well from the bottom of your heart. If you are doing it without any expectation. Then good will come to you.
There’s no way to know when it will come, but it will.
“I think we need to look at ourselves first. We should practice what we’re preaching. Otherwise, we are hypocrites.”
– Mo Ibrahim
Talk is cheap. Action is what makes things happen.
Every action, even the smallest ones will have an influence on reality.
Don’t underestimate the power of being idle. No action is influencing reality as much as if you do take action.
From the moment you are aware, you have influence on reality. For good or bad, you shape the world.
We are linked to each other’s.
There’s no me and you. There’s only us.
“When we know ourselves to be connected to all others, acting compassionately is simply the natural thing to do.”
– Rachel Naomi Remen
It’s hard to see that when we do arm to others, we do arm to ourselves.
It’s hard to see that when we give to others, we give to ourselves.
“To live a pure unselfish life, one must count nothing as one’s own in the midst of abundance.”
Start to think as us and your life will change.
