About Serge ‘Mage’ Cote Why do I write? I believe in the butterfly effect. As small my influence may be on the planet, it is still influence. I want to orient it for the better. I write my book with the idea of bringing something good into this world. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke I want my books to be a good place to be. A place that you visit often and feel good about it. I want my books to bring good energy so the readers will take action to make this world a better place. I want my books to guide those who don’t know why they feel so bad about their life. I want my books to be there after I’ll be gone. I want people to come back to them and use them in a positive way. “The greatest use of a life is to spend it on something that will outlast it.” – William James View all posts by mage1999
Love this. It really makes me think about how I need to accomplish my dream of getting my books published. To get there I have to finish writing them though. I have always been a procrastinator. This made me realize though how I can be my own worst enemy. As time passes, i lose that time. I dont want to look back and ask myself why I didn’t ever finish the one goal i had. Why didn’t I accomplish my dream.

ON THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT
In my part of the world, the ‘butterfly effect’ is called ‘udata bhakti’ or ‘squirell’s devotion’. When Sri Rama was building the ‘Rama Setu’ known to the west as the ‘Adam’s bridge’, a squirell joined the work, carrying and dropping a few pebbles in the ocean. Whether it affected the ocean or not, it certainly moved Sri Rama, who patted its back – and to this day, the squirrel carries the three stripes of affection.
Moral: Whether it affects the universe or not, the slightest of actions if it moves what/who matters in the universe, is sufficient for the Eternity. _/\_

Life is our own coin and we should spend it thriftily lest else spends it for us. Every drop of rain contributes to the ocean, and so every positive thought contributed wires this world in a positive way. Today the world needs such people. small or big does not make any difference. Why we should negate ourselves by labelling that we are small. Our positive contribution will lighten up so many souls and prompt them to contribute more. Is that not enough?
