Listen

Your time is precious and the time of others too.

When someone share something useful with you, listen.

“One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say.”

Bryant H. McGill

Good listener will be seen as more friendly.

“Listen with the intent to understand, not the intent to reply.”

Stephen Covey

Understand with the intent to learn something from it.

Learning is a choice. Those who have the ability to keep on learning are the ones that keeps on growing.

About Serge ‘Mage’ Cote Why do I write? I believe in the butterfly effect. As small my influence may be on the planet, it is still influence. I want to orient it for better. I write my book with the idea of bringing something good into this world. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke I want my books to be a good place to be. A place that you visit often and feel good about it. I want my books to bring good energy, so the readers will take action to make this world a better place. I want my books to guide those who don’t know why they feel so bad about their life. I want my books to be there after I’ll be gone. I want people to come back to them and use them in a positive way. “The greatest use of a life is to spend it on something that will outlast it.” – William James

  1. What a fabulous post! Short and clear, with such wonderful quotes and words of wisdom about the power of really LISTENING to others. So often we are distracted or, as said above, listening for something to comment on rather than focusing on the other person. We can all learn a lot from taking this to heart. Thank you for that, and for joining my true vintage fun.
