You can’t change the past.
It’s ok to be sad about something that has happened. Being sad can happen, as long as it’s not becoming permanent.
Most sad people hope to find something outside that will lift them up. It’s an illusion. Nothing outside can lift you up. You are the only one that can lift your mood up or not.
“Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have – life itself.”
– Walter Anderson
No ones are always happy. We all have to live our share of sad moments. Without the sad moments, how can we know what is happiness?
“The word ‘happiness’ would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.”
– Carl Jung
If it’s not normal to always be happy, it’s not normal to always be sad.
“Those who are sad
they are really mad
by not being good at making things happen.”

The apostle Peter wrote in I Peter 1:3-7, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
