Is there a bad day to post?

 

This is an interesting question.

 

Myself, I think that it doesn’t matter. A good post is a good post. It will have an impact every day of the week.

 

I like to post on every Monday. It feels great to start a new week with a new post.

 

For the past 25 days, I posted every day. Here on “From mage mind” and on other blogs around the web.

 

Some are saying that Monday and Tuesday are the best day to post on your blog. In reality, a lot of people will read your post a week after you put it there. If your title is great and your post interesting, then people will read them as they see them.

 

The best readers are the ones who are following you. They will not read your post as you put them online, but most of them will come back later to take a look.

 

What do you think about that? Do you keep data on when you get the most response to your post?

    1. Yes, you have a great way to do blogging. I think that we should always post when we feel we should. The stats are just that, stats… For me, my best post are those who gets the best comments. 🙂

  5. I don’t think it matters much, and I don’t pay attention to the variations. Posting days are based on a lot of variables including other non-blog commitments. I agree that if content is worth reading, folks will stop by to read. 🙂

  6. Wednesdays are when I get the most views, usually because I write a post and participate in the Wednesday WordPress photo challenge. I find that participants in photo challenges look at more photo challenge posts than they do other types of posts.

    I write about all sorts of things, in various styles. Obviously some types of my posts appeal to people more than others. My followers represent a diverse group of people, so I don’t have crowds for one type of niche. My regulars read almost everything I write. They are so sweet!

    1. Being followed is great, but getting read is a lot better. It’s better to have 50 peoples that read your post then 500 followers that don’t. I can’t read everything I get, but I do my best to read most of it. I think that we can learn something from everything we read (online or offline).

  7. I try to be very routine. 800 a small devotional. 12oo my Just a Thought. 300 pm a funny meme. Finally around 500 Pm I repost somebody elses blog(unless its Wed then I post our last Wed evening Bible Study. Sundays I only post the morning and evening services from the week before. I do believe readers love routine from blogs they read, in that all the time they can expect a certain thing and come to look for it. Just my thoughts!

      Yes, blog should always be around a few subjects. It’s easier to follow when you expect what is coming. I like to keep my post around a few subject that I really like to write about.

  8. I post Mondays & Wednesdays. I’ve seen best results when people stop by and read, comment, and like on those days.

    Your right about something. Titles are what capture people’s attention and direct more traffic.

  9. Although I have been blogging for more than seven years, I still feel I am a beginner. I am a retired journalist, men’s magazines, paperback books, Reuters newswire and finally an internal financial house publication. I wrote about financial markets for over 30 years, so I know that biz. Like I said, I am a relative newbie at blogging. I think my stuff reads more like journalism than blogging, but, not so sure. I work on putting out what I think will be useful for my readers who want to live a long, healthy life and with their brain functioning well at the end. So, I have been writing about health now for going on eight years. I work on putting out one item every day. When I produce more than one, I ’embargo’ it for just after midnight the next day. I think readers should expect to see something new pretty much daily, but that is just my opinion, FWIW. If you write about stuff that is important to you, I think you have a good shot at it being interesting and important to someone else. Best of luck!
